The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
